Artist Bio
A seasoned charismatic violinist. Sapphire is distinguished and versatile violin player who enthrals audiences worldwide with panache and flair. A top class graduate from The Royal Academy of Music in London, she infuses her classical training with passion for house RnB, latin and hip-hop music both as a solo artist and alongside DJ’s such as Nerco, Pete Tong, Mark Ronson, Bob Sinclair, Idris Elba, Afshal and Mr Switch (World champion Dj).
Sapphire has opened shows for sia and Sam Smith and has recorded as backing violinist for Elton John, Rod Stewart, Celine Dion, Beyonce, Keane, Imelda May, Tom Walker, Lewis Capaldi, Rihanna and performs regularly on TV.
Recent highlights include shows in Las Vegas, New York, Mumbai, Monaco, Qatar, Tokyo, Ibiza, Macau, Buenos Aires and across Europe. She was invited to perform for The Queen at Royal Ascot, The Rugby World Cup Final and the Champions League Final.
Sapphire has enjoyed residencies at top venues such as Novikov, Annabels, The Ivy and Sketch. She was delighted to have been invited to perform for not one but two Royal Weddings. Katie forms part of Velvet’s "Exclusive Velvet Artist Roster” for bookings in Mallorca and the Balearic Islands.
